For many people, summer is the best time of the year. While you can, take every moment to enjoy the beautiful weather. And why not? But with all this fun, there’s not much time left for working out. And actually, you don't feel like working out. You’ve lost your motivation. How do you keep yourself motivated to keep working out in the summer? Below we suggest four tips. 1. Plan to work out with someone else Working out is so much more fun when you do it with someone else. And the best thing, working out with a friend or family member is great for your motivation. Because you're not going to let your gym buddy down, are you? Having a gym buddy is the most effective way to continue working out in the summer and not allowing yourself to be distracted by other fun things. 2. Pamper yourself with new sportswear It's good to feel confident when you're working out. Spoil yourself with some new sportswear that will make you feel good when you wear it. Because you've spent the money, you’ll want to keep on with your training. Otherwise, investing in a new outfit was a waste of money. 3. Set yourself goals Is your body bikini-ready? Or do want to keep your six-pack? Set yourself a clear goal, for example losing weight or simply not gaining weight, and keep working towards it over the summer. After all, all that lying in the sun, ice cream and barbecues won't do your summer body any good! So, the choice is between going to the gym or all those other summer temptations. 4. Variety Monotony is a real motivation killer. If you do the same round of exercises every day, the fun very quickly disappears. That’s why you should introduce some variety into your workout, as well as making it fun: combine your workouts in the gym with summer activities. Go surfboarding, practise yoga in the park, try a game of football or beach volleyball. So, perhaps it is possible to get through the summer months and still be active.
