7 zones

At Basic-Fit you are always training on the latest equipment from premium brands Matrix or Technogym, and you can be sure of finding everything you need to attain your exercise goals. We stay up to date with the latest trends and have the best fitness experts on hand to ensure that the exercise equipment in our clubs always stays up to date. All Basic-Fit clubs are made up of 7 zones as shown on the floor plan below.

We have a large range of cardio equipment. Perfect for improving your fitness and burning off calories. You will be training on equipment from Matrix or Technogym. These machines are easy to use, but if you have any problems please ask a member of staff who will be happy to help!

The different weight training equipment in the Strength zone will help you work on all your muscle groups. There is clear information on equipment with weights on cables about what muscles it will help to strengthen. You can set up all the equipment to your length and preferred weight.

In addition to the cardio and weight-training equipment, every Basic-Fit club also has a range of free weights. In the Free Weight zone you can train with dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells and plates. Generally speaking, this will give you a more general weight workout than when you train with the machines. This is because you are moving freely and the muscles have to work together to lift the weight.

This zone has a range of equipment you can use to exercise and get ready for what may come across outside the gym. Here, you can use equipment like a functional rack, slam balls, plio boxes, bumper plates, olympic bars and kettlebells.

The Stretch zone is intended for stretching and exercising the stomach muscles with equipment like a stretch rack, gym balls, foam rollers and mats. In this zone you are mainly training for core strength and balance/flexibility.

At all Basic-Fit clubs you can participate in our virtual GXR group classes at no extra cost. We also offer Live group classes (€5.00 every 4 weeks) in many clubs. In these classes, qualified instructors motivate you to give it your all and give you tips to help you do the workout properly. The programme in the GXR group classes changes every 2 months and in the live group classes every 3 months, so there's no chance of getting bored!

In the Virtual Cycling zone you can really put your fitness to the test with our Indoor Cycling classes that you follow on a big screen. Look at the group class timetable to see set times for classes, or you can start a session yourself at any time of the day. Take your earphones with you, plug them in to one of the bikes and let those leg muscles burn!
